Minerals expert
I am a Lecturer at the University of Lund, teaching Development Studies. My PhD in human geography partly looked at the way artisanal gold mining informality was dealt with the local government in Burkina Faso, and I have been working around this topic for the last ten years.
I recently became interested in what “responsible” mining might mean, and being part of the Fairmined Committee is a way for me to not only get a better understanding of that meaning, but also actively contribute to shaping it.
