FAIRMINED VIRTUAL EDIT: Wedding bands for the bridal season

FAIRMINED VIRTUAL EDIT: Wedding bands for the bridal season

By: Laura Galvis – Fairmined Initiative

Summer is here making our landscapes more vibrant, and warm, the new bright colors that come with it create the perfect scenarios for the dreamy day of many brides and grooms. A lot of time and effort is put into preparing for the special day. A single but very special day, that you may wish lasted a lifetime… and some things do: the beautiful memories, the party to remember, and of course, the jewelry.

This selection of wedding bands made of Fairmined gold represent jewelry pieces to commemorate commitment and the beautiful love stories that bring couples together with their unique styles and careful craft. But at the same time, it celebrates love with a beautiful story about generating a positive impact in the artisanal and small-scale gold mining communities that will make your pieces shine even brighter. What a way to celebrate!
And since this edition is all about commitment, I want to challenge these 7 brands, my favorite picks for the Fairmined Virtual edit, to participate with some new creations in the Fairmined 100 challenge or submit their latest creations!

1. Ellie Air Jewellery: Nova Ring OOAK

Not your traditional wedding band. The Nova Ring OOAK is a wide knife edge band that will definitely make a statement that nobody will ever miss. A chunky and minimalistic ring, with a delicate touch – thanks to two princess cut diamonds (0.05ct TCW) that are opposite to each other across the knife edge. Like most of the brand’s creations, this is a one-of-a-kind ring, available in Yellow 18k Fairmined gold. This band works perfectly with a classic solitaire, a slim diamond band, or on its own.
Ellie Air is fueled by the personalization process of creating bespoke pieces full of emotions and memories. All pieces can be made in Fairmined gold and are hand-crafted by Founder Lauren and her team in Dorset, England.

2. Jana Rose Paris - L’alliance éternel / The eternal band

L’alliance Eternel references the eternal preservation of life in ice, water that is frozen and beautiful. The irregular facets of the ring mimic the shapes of polar icebergs, inspired by nature; this band is a beautiful representation of the relationship between the natural resources and the beautiful materials nature provides, in this case, gold ethically mined.

The ring is made to order and available in yellow, red, or white 18k  Fairmined gold or half of the band covered in pavé lab-grown diamonds.

Jana Rose is based in Paris and was created with an ethical and ecological strategy, creating all their designs using Fairmined gold, and extending this sensitivity to their thoughtful sourcing of diamonds, materials for packaging, etc. All products are designed and manufactured in France in the brand’s workshop.

3. NIKL: Eheringe “Lines”| “Lines” Wedding ring

Wrapping winding wires bring to life the design of the “Lines” wedding band. A ring full of movement, in which masterful craftsmanship is put together with experimentation and art into designing a unique piece. Ideal for couples who want something as unique as they are. It is something definitely out of the ordinary, weighing approximately 24 grams of 18k yellow Fairmined solid gold, this ring can be custom made in white, yellow, or rose gold.

Surrounded by 20 brilliant-cut diamonds in champagne tones dancing playfully around the band, adding sparks of light to the cashmere-finished wedding band. A perfect match to be paired with a solid gold band or frosted diamond rings.

5. Jan Spille-Schmuck: Zwei Ebenen | Two levels

In the Zwei Ebenen wedding band, two different colors of Fairmined ecological gold are put together into one masterful piece. A thick tube-shaped ring with a matte finish that differentiates itself from the rest, for what it is made of rather than its shape. This ring can be completely customizable, soon-to-be-married couples can adjust the bicolor levels, choose between a wide variety of colors of Fairmined gold and select the fishing technique, this way they are able to add a lot of personal significance to this special piece.
Jan Spille Schmuck prioritizes the use of Fairmined ecological gold as one of his main sources. The multiple award-winning designer was one of the first members to join the Fairmined Initiative in Germany and is a committed supporter of the responsible artisanal and small-scale mining sector.

6. Robin - Paris: La bague CAMILLE | The CAMILLE Ring

Three times the harmony! A ring in movement made up of 3 intertwined delicate rings, each in a different shade: pink, yellow and gray gold in ethically sourced 18k Fairmined gold, and each made using a different technique: one twisted, one hammered, and one mimicking the contour of pears. This is a playful wedding band for couples looking for a relaxed style but with a great appreciation for design and craft.
Cendrine Robin from Robin Paris has a great appreciation for the stories her creations are capable of sharing, her pieces are handmade and made to order in her shop located in Montreuil. All gold pieces from the brand are made using Fairmined certified metals.

7. Susan Crow Studio: LILLY VICTORY BAND

The Lilly Victory Band with minimalistic design, is inspired by the Bauhaus designer Lilly Reich. This non-traditional brand creates freely many different styles. The perfect unconventional shape to be worn alone or the ideal companion for solitaire rings, especially when paired with a round or oval solitaire and one (or two) of these beautiful and yellow Fairmined gold cashmere finished bands.
