Nina Strategier is a goldsmith from the Netherlands passionate about travel and jewelry design. Nina founded NANINI after a travel to South America where she learned about the Fairmined certified small-scale mining organizations

Nina grew an ethical brand that creates beautiful handcrafted jewelry with an elementary and minimalistic style. She decided to use responsible metals coming from an ethical origin and to have a strong connection with the miners as part of the story of her creations after her experience getting to know the Fairmined initiative. Being the first Fairmined licensed brand in the Netherlands, NANINI delivers an unique value to her customers by not only offering personalized beautiful jewelry, but also sharing the origin of the gold.  

NANINI became a licensed  Fairmined brand in order to be transparent with their customers about the origin of the gold, and to support to artisanal and small scale miners. Nanini saw in using Fairmined gold an opportunity to raise awareness in jewelry consumers about the importance of knowing the origin of metals and choosing sustainability to endorse positive impact.

Nina’s awareness about issues such as social inequality and environmental damage came from travelling and seeing herself many malpractices in various industries like fashion, food and luxury goods. She decided to contribute in a good way by embracing sustainability, not only in her business, but in her whole lifestyle. That’s how caring about the origin of materials, the impact on the environment and on all human beings involved in supply chains became part of NANINI’s values.
