Why Fairmined?
We are participating in the Fairmined 100 challenge because we are proud to be a Fairmined licensee.
Working with Fairmined ecological gold gives us the possibility to create beautiful jewellery in line with our high ethical principles. Using fairmined gold transforms jewellery making into a meaningful occupation for us because buying the gold on the one hand and telling our customers about fairmined gold on the other hand is our very small but important impact on a change in small scale-mining.
SANYA MEETS EMMA
Goldaffairs
Sanya is the line we created for the fairmined 100 challenge in the first place.
The collection is an expression of twists and turns, of changing directions, of moving in a circle. But as in life the pieces come together in the end and form a harmonious whole.
“Sanya” includes a ring, a pendant and hoop earrings.
All the jewellery pieces are made of solid 14 kt yellow gold, Fairmined ecological certified from Oro Puno. The pieces are finished with a matt surface and one polished highlight.
“Emma” includes a ring and a pendant. All the jewellery pieces are polished and made of solid 14 kt yellow gold, Fairmined ecological certified from Oro Puno. The ethical diamonds are traceable and conflict free, the stones come from the Argyle Mine in Australia.
The ring Emma is actually not a new design.
However, it is new that we can produce the ring in Fairmined ecological gold from this year on because we are able to cast every piece of jewellery in our own studio now.
In a way this classic diamond ring is the opposite of our ring Sanya what makes the combination of the two jewellery pieces so exciting and beautiful. Emma is polished, straight and sparkling.
This combination inspired me to design the pendant Emma which is beautiful worn as a single pendant but also matches perfectly around Sanya to form an expressive piece of jewellery. The combined pendant is the centerpiece of the collection.
