About Integration
The pieces in this collection are intentionally beautiful and balanced (while not always symmetrical) yet simple in design, drawing a parallel to this obvious fact that we conversely seem distant from while on the hamster wheel of modern life. Yet the fact that we wear these pieces on our bodies reminds us of our connection to the earth, sky and sea. The inclusions, patterns and shapes present in these jewels symbolically bring their owner and wearer back to a grounded place, where we recognize our integration with nature and our duty to care for it and its inhabitants.
Why Fairmined?
“I decided to participate in the Fairmined 100 challenge to draw attention to Fairmined and an opportunity to talk about their great work setting and holding the highest standard of ethics and sustainability for gold mining in the industry. This can only lead to more miners working in safer, healthier conditions for both them and the planet, as well as affect people everywhere positively.
This is my first collection using Fairmined Ecological gold, which goes one step further than the Fairmined standard, although I have been working with Fairmined gold since 2018 and been a licensee since 2016. “
