This collection includes an evil eye to ward off negativity, a snail that represents the never ending cycle of life, a diamond shape ring for stability and harmony, and the continuous circle band represents life as cyclic not linear.”
ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
“I began my career as a clothing designer (@ajaie_alaie), but I’ve always wanted to make jewelry. As I began to evolve into jewelry, traceability was one of the non-negotiables’ for my process, and when I discovered Fairmined, things began to flow like water. I am low-key activist, and I want to advocate for better environmental practices, and for better worker working conditions, and I feel so passionate about this that I can’t stop talking about it to friends and family. I want to see better mining practices across the globe because when something will not go away, like mining, we must make it better”.
