THE FAIRMINED CERTIFICATION IS FOUNDED ON TRUST, TRANSPARENCY AND IMPARTIALITY. BY CARRYING OUT AUDITS BY A THIRD PARTY, WE GUARANTEE THAT WE MEET THESE OBJECTIVES. WE KNOW THAT INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPLIANCE OF MINING ORGANIZATIONS IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOLD BUYERS, FOR DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES AND FOR UNDERSTANDING THE ACHIEVEMENTS AND CHALLENGES OF THE SECTOR.
From now on it will be possible to consult the information of the summaries of the audits of the Fairmined certified mining organizations, which will be published on the Fairmined website in the profile of each of the mines for reading and downloading, in English and Spanish.
This decision was made based on the recommendations of the ISEAL Assurance code (clause 6.3.1) and the 2020 Human Right Watch report in order to facilitate access to the information that comes from the Fairmined certification and that results useful for market actors in their compliance processes, due diligence and contribution to the development of artisanal and small-scale mining in the organizational, labor, environmental and social axes through their involvement with Fairmined.
