General coordinator at Consejo comunitario mayor del Alto San Juan (ASOCASAN).
He has more than 30 years of experience in participation and leadership of ethnic-organizational processes of black communities in Colombia. He has the recognition and support of ethnic-territorial organizations and institutions in the Colombian Pacific region.
He was Councilor of the municipality of Tadó-Chocó (Colombia) between the years 1993-1995.
He was Coordinator of Oro Verde corporation in the municipality of Tadó for more than 10 years.
For more than 20 years, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Institute of Environmental Research of the Pacific-IIAP by delegation of the black communities of Chocó.
He has participation in Colombia’s high scope prior consultation, in representation of the black, raizales and palenqueras communities, in compliance with sentence 576 of the constitutional court.
In the framework of the project “Conservation of biodiversity and landscapes impacted by mining in the Chocó region”, as a link between the organizational process and institutionalization, he has contributed to the construction of the protected areas policy 2020-2030.
He currently holds the position of general coordinator of the Greater Community Council of Alto San Juan-ASOCASAN.
